Beaverton Schools

Elmonica Students are developing the skills to read and perform music with whole, half, quarter, and eighth and sixteenth note patterns.  They have identified dynamic levels (volume) as well as tempo (speed) changes in music and have performed music on instruments, through movement, games, and singing. Older students reinforce their skills of reading the pitches on the treble clef. Emphasis on RESPECT, LISTENING, and SAFETY in our classroom as well as group learning target goals of ACCURACY + SELF-CONTROL, TEAMWORK + TRUST, EFFICIENT FAST-PACED LEARNING.  Our most important overarching goal is for students to develop a lifelong love, understanding, and appreciation of music.
